About BeamBot

Automation you can trust on set

Beambot Automovers has been manufacturing the XB12 Automover since 2015. Designed and fabricated in Canada by Starman Entertainment Inc, this simple DMX automated system has been the back bone of our inventory for over a decade. Keeping up with modern technology we have been upgrading our system to easily adapt to most of the modern LED lights used in film. We can customize our automovers to adapt to any light upon request. Our Units can be rigged in a few minutes and save production time during their shoot.

Our mission

Make motion easy and fast

We design automovers that integrate cleanly into real-world lighting workflows—DMX in, smooth pan/tilt out, with the reliability crews need under pressure.

From prep to wrap, BeamBot is built to reduce resets, speed up adjustments, and keep your lighting consistent across takes and setups.

How it started

Built from set experience

BeamBot Automovers began as a necessity, Due to the stage set up on a show I was on (I’m a Rigging Gaffer), we found that most fly pipes and truss could not be accessed without moving multiple set pieces so I told my boss not to worry and I designed and made 20, totally solved the issue.

Many people wanted to use them so I joined forces and we keep moving forward with new designs and improvements.
